Summertime is undoubtedly exterior painting time, and we are busy wrapping up project after project throughout the Nashville area. In case you’re planning a house painting project of your own, we thought we’d share another inspirational update (inspirational color choices, too!).
From smooth, stylish neutrals accented with white trim to the lovely statement door, this exterior palette is a win from every angle. We love the subtle touch of adding blue to the ceiling as well!
Do you know the history and origins of blue porch ceilings? “Haint Blue” was a specific (and strategic) paint choice in generations past throughout the south, believed to ward off evil spirits that might come creeping toward your house. While we might not believe in the superstitious power of “Haint Blue” ceilings, we certainly do believe in the transformative, stylish power of this classic color. Here’s a little more info, in case you’re interested!

Our Exterior House Painting Process
We offer an unparalleled 10-year warranty for our exterior painting services, but our work often lasts between 12 and 18 years. This is virtually unheard of in the house painting world.
So, how can we provide this kind of incredible coverage? We take every step and stage seriously, focusing on the details involved in a truly superior application. This includes:
A thorough deep clean, power washing the surface to remove any and all contaminants that would weaken your new paint’s hold.
We then check every inch of your surface for loose or failing paint with carbide razor scrapers. Loose chips or old, failing paint will weaken your new paint, so it all has to be removed.
Prime it! We cover all raw wood with an oil-based primer. This sets the stage for a long-lasting, durable paint job.
We then apply Sherwin-Williams SherMax caulking to seal all air gaps. This completely locks out moisture and pests, and also adds to your home’s overall efficiency.
Last but not least, we paint! Specifically, we apply 2 coats of Sherwin-Williams’ SuperPaint, working the paint into the surfaces with brushes and rollers.
