How Does Vapor Blasting Work?
Traditional surface preparation includes manual sanding and scraping, right? Or, you could use chemical paint strippers that are applied, eat away at the coatings, then are scraped clean.
For more in-depth paint removal, cleaning, and prep, sandblasting was a viable alternative, essentially stripping the surface with a powerful stream of dry particles. The downside here is that it’s extremely abrasive, plus difficult to contain. Fine for commercial and industrial work, but not a great fit for residential environments.
Vapor blasting still uses abrasive particles, but within a high-pressure stream of water that is much easier to contain, control, and use on even delicate exterior features. For our old Nashville homes, this is a game changer.
