Nash Painting is Proud to Contribute to the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation
Here at Nash Painting, our work is deeply rooted in our values. We’re always striving to do the right thing and serve our community as best we can. The quality of our commercial and residential painting services reflects this, but we know there is always more we can do to make a difference. This is why we’ve recently agreed to make monthly donations to the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation. We humbly hope that our contributions will go towards making a difference in the lives of those the Tunnel to Towers Foundation actively helps.
What is the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation?
Founded in 2002, one year after the tragic events of September 11th, 2001, the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation is named after Stephen Gerard Siller, a Brooklyn, NY firefighter who gave his life to save others that day. The foundation helps veterans who have been critically injured, as well as the families of fallen first responders and Gold Star families, by providing financial support specifically aimed at housing. Since its founding, the foundation has raised over $250 million in donations to fund its programs and provide aid, received more than 500,000 visitors to its 9/11 mobile exhibit established in 2013, and is projected to deliver 250 mortgage-free homes to Gold Star and fallen first responder families with small children, and injured veterans by the end of this year.
As a God-honoring Nashville painting company, we were moved by Stephen Siller’s story and the mission and enthusiasm of the foundation. According to the foundation’s website, “Stephen...grew up under the guiding philosophy of St. Francis of Assisi, whose encouraging and inspirational phrase ‘while we have time, let us do good’ were words that Stephen lived by.” Like Stephen Siller, Nash Painting also lives by these words and this sentiment.
Doing Our Part
Nash Painting’s recent support of the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation is a continuation of our efforts to serve our community not just in Nashville, TN, but the greater human community around the globe. We currently support organizations such as the New River Fellowship, Restore Haiti initiative, and World Vision. As our business grows, we expect to spread our support to other worthy organizations that live and breathe our values and do great work.
