Privacy Policy
Nash Painting (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who helps us handle it, and the choices you have.
Information you give us
When you ask for a price, request a walkthrough, chat with us, send feedback or contact us, we collect what you provide: for example your name, phone number, email address, property address, ZIP code, project details and any photos you choose to send.
IP address, device and visit information
When you send us a request, a chat message, a color preview or feedback, we record the date and time, your IP address and the page you sent it from. We use these records to process your request, keep compliance records of any consent you give, and limit spam and abuse (for example, capping how many requests or previews one connection or email can make in a day). Our hosting provider may also log basic technical details such as your browser type and the general area your connection comes from.
To understand how visitors find us, your browser keeps a short record of how you arrived (such as the search, ad or link you came from, and the pages you viewed before sending a request). That record stays on your device and reaches us only if you submit a request. Separately, on our live website, our call-tracking provider, CallRail, uses code and cookies to show you one of our tracking phone numbers. Each time a page loads, that code sends CallRail the page address and how you arrived (such as the site, search or ad campaign you came from), so when you call that number, we can see which listing or ad brought you to us.
So you never have to type the same thing twice, your browser also remembers the name, phone, email, address and ZIP you enter in our forms or chat, and fills them in next time. This stays on your device; clearing your browser’s site data removes it.
Chat with Emma, our AI assistant
Emma is an AI assistant that answers questions and helps you request a price or a walkthrough. Before a chat starts, Emma asks for your name and phone number. If you give your name and phone and don’t finish a chat, our office may call you. We text only if you opted in. Emma runs on a language model from OpenAI. What you type in the chat is sent to OpenAI to write each reply. OpenAI may keep that information for up to 30 days to monitor for misuse, and does not use it to train its models. We keep a copy of the conversation, with its date and your IP address, so our office can follow up on your request and improve the service. Photos you add in the chat may be sent to OpenAI to prepare a preliminary price, and are sent to our office with your request. Please don’t share sensitive personal information (such as payment or health details) in the chat. Emma can make mistakes; your written bid from us is what counts.
Color visualizer
If you use our color visualizer, we ask you to confirm your email address with a one-time code before making previews. To make a preview, the photo you upload and the colors you choose are sent to OpenAI, whose image model paints the preview. OpenAI may keep that information for up to 30 days to monitor for misuse, and does not use it to train its models. Location data is removed from your photo on your device before it is uploaded. We do not store your photo or the preview. We keep your email address, whether you agreed to hear from us, and a record of each preview (the date, your IP address and general area, and technical details such as image size), so we can apply daily limits.
Text messages (SMS)
Apart from any one-time codes described below, we only send text messages if you ask for them by checking the box that says so on one of our website forms, or the box on your project page after you book (see Text Message Consent). Calling or meeting us does not sign you up. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Agreeing to texts is never a condition of purchase. We record the date, time, IP address, page and exact wording of your consent.
Consent to receive texts is given directly to Nash Painting, LLC. Mobile information, SMS opt-in data and consent are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. Read our SMS Terms for the program details.
One-time booking codes
If you ask to book a visit using an AI assistant, or our spam check wants to be sure a real person is behind a request, we may send a one-time code to the phone number you gave, by text or automated voice call, or to your email address. If we do, it is sent through a verification provider and says it is from Nash Painting. We use the code only to confirm that booking request. It is not marketing, it is not a text sign-up and does not sign you up for text messages, and it is not a condition of anything else. Codes expire in about 10 to 15 minutes. Message and data rates may apply. If you don’t enter a code, we don’t book the visit automatically; the office will call you to confirm instead. Requests that look like obvious spam are not deleted right away. We keep them in a separate suppressed list for 90 days so we can tune our spam checks, and then delete them. We don’t send alerts about them, with one exception: if a request is caught by one of our hidden spam checks, we may still send it to our office, marked as a possible bot, so we don’t miss a real customer. Our office may then call you back. We won’t text you unless you have opted in to texts as described above.
Analytics and advertising
On our live website we use Google Tag Manager to load Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads conversion tracking, and we also load CallRail call tracking. These tools use cookies and similar identifiers stored in your browser to count visits, see which pages and ads bring people to us, and tell us when a visit leads to a request or a call. We send Google events such as “a request was submitted” or “the phone link was tapped.” Our website does not send your name, phone number, email address or street address to Google. If you call one of our tracking numbers, CallRail may tell Google Analytics and Google Ads that the call happened (for example, its time and length) so we can measure our ads; if your phone number is included, it is scrambled (hashed) first and used only to match the call to an ad.
You can turn off personalized ads at Google Ads Settings, and stop Google Analytics from collecting your visits with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Clearing or blocking cookies in your browser also limits this tracking, including CallRail’s.
How we use your information
- To respond to your request, write your bid and schedule work
- To provide and improve our painting services and this website
- To send project-related messages, and marketing only if you asked for it
- To prevent spam, fraud and abuse
- To comply with legal and regulatory requirements
Who helps us handle it
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the business, and only as needed to serve you. These include our website host (Vercel), our database provider (Neon), our email delivery service (Resend), OpenAI (for the chat and the color visualizer), Twilio (for text messages, including the texts you sign up for), Google (for analytics and ad measurement; our website does not send Google your name or contact details), CallRail (call tracking for our website and phone lines, which notes how you arrived at our website and logs details such as each call’s time, length and the number it came from, and may record calls), and the scheduling and communication tools our office uses. We may also share information with legal authorities when required by law. All of the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
How long we keep it
We keep request, chat and consent records for as long as we need them to serve you, keep accurate business records and meet legal obligations, and then delete them.
Your choices
You may opt out of marketing emails or texts at any time. To ask what we hold about you, or to have it corrected or deleted, contact us using the details below.
